Principal PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW!
Mr. Gene Sommerfeld has accepted the call to serve as St. Paul's new Principal! We now have a full staff! His biography follows: I was born and raised in North Dakota; I attended public elementary and high school, but graduated from Concordia in Seward, NE. My wife, Linda, has been a Lutheran teacher for 34 years. We have 2 children, Brian who will be graduating in 2007 from NDSU in Fargo, ND with a degree in architecture and Marysa who is attending SCTC in St. Cloud, MN and hopes to be in the nursing or medical assistant program. I’ve been in the Lutheran teaching ministry for 35 years serving in 4 schools in Nebraska, Minnesota, and North Dakota. My interests are college sports, especially football, classic cars and street rods, music, and reading history books, especially about the Civil War. My hobby is that I’m a Civil War re-enactor; I’m a member of the 2nd Minnesota Volunteer Regiment. Now that I live in Iowa, I’ll have to take an interest in Hawkeye and Cyclone football. Who knows, maybe someday, I’ll have to wear a black and gold sweatshirt to school. We won’t talk about the team that I’ve followed for 30 years – red & white and west of Iowa. Our School Secretary
