Pastor Nathan Peitsch was ordined and installed as our Associate Pastor on Sunday, June 27, 2010, at 3:00 P.M. His biography follows:

I am thrilled to be your new associate pastor. I have a wife, Megan, and one son, Micah, born August 26, 2009. I was born and raised in Michigan. Much of my family still lives there in my hometown of Royal Oak. I began my undergraduate studies in  Computer Science, but changed to Pre-Seminary after my first year when I began to lose a portion of my eyesight. I graduated from Concordia University in Irvine in 2006 and Megan and I were married two days later.

I concluded my pastorial studies in St. Louis at Concordia Seminary. In my studies I found that I have a love for studing the Scriptures in their original languages as well as sharing the things I learn through teaching. For my vicarage year of seminary I worked in St. Louis as Lutheran Senior Services where I was a chaplain. I had a great time working there with residents, staff and family members.

As I mentioned before I have lost a portion of my eyesight and am now in fact legally blind. I have a genetic condition known as Leber's Hereditary Optic Neuropathy. It is not correctable by glasses or any sort of surgery at this point, but it also will not get worse. This condition means that I cannot drive. I have difficulty reading and I have difficulty recognizing people from a distance. My hobbies include cycling, fencing, and model trains. I look forward to getting to know you all and serving God along with you here at St. Paul.

Kristin Kenyon has replaced Jo Seltz as our Youth Director as of the end of May 2009. Her biography follows:

Hi!! I am Kristin Kenyon. I am humbled and greatly motivated to be the youth director!! Here’s a little about me. I grew up with a loving Christian dad and mom along with an older brother, Nick.  After growing up and graduating High School in Humboldt, IA. I went to Northwestern Christian College in Orange City, IA. From the time I was in High School, in college, and up until this very day, I have been involved/coordinated/lead  youth and adult programs in churches, camps, colleges and retreats. My favorite of course was always working with the youth.

I married Mike Kenyon of Mallard, IA after we met at Northwestern .  We moved back to Humboldt where Mike became a police officer and I worked at the local florist. When opportunity came to work with kids,  I went to work for Humboldt Community Schools.  I started working and running my own Silk Flower business, later in years, to stay at home with our kids. Our 3 children are; our oldest girl Bailey who is 7, our son Shawn is 5, and our youngest daughter, Jordan, who is 3. We moved to Fort Dodge in 2007 from a job change of Mike's to the Webster County Sheriff's Dept. and then we moved to Clare this past December.

Mike and I enjoy taking the kids camping, swimming, or anything outdoors . Our time to go spend with our families as much as possible is very important to us as well.  My interest outside of famly and my desire to serve the youth include; decorating, landscaping/flowers, singing, listening to Christian music, theatre, sports/games, art, camp fires, picnics, movies, white chocolate mocha, shopping, an intense game of lazer tag, long walks, a deep bible study/small group, and a really good reeses peanut butter cup blizzard!!

I am excited to serve as the youth director at St. Paul. With God by my side and all the servant hearts, support, and prayers in the congregation, I look forward to the plans that our Lord Jesus has for the youth programs!! The youth are the future, but more importantly,  they are here now!  They hunger for love and faith in Jesus, and I plan to be a leader to help guide them to that ultimate goal!! I look forward to meeting and creating new relationships with all of you here at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Serving in Him,
Kristin Kenyon
